How did you get into design? I've wanted to be a designer since I was 13. I just loved the freedom of creating new ideas and solving problems on a computer where adjustments and mistakes weren't endless.

Favorite book or current read and why? The Color Of Water by James McBride & The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison

Tell us a surprising fact about you? I play the drums and shoot film photography 

What did you learn about publishing that you wish you knew before? That it was predominantly white women and cover art isn't the only creative publishing job.

How do you over come a creative block? I take breaks and look out the window and play music!
